To think more broadly and in solutions

The demand for changes in society is loud and has always been so. This is how man has developed his society for the better, with various missteps and learning from his mistakes. But how do we change society for the better unless we discuss and agree on the most sensible path that the vast majority can accept? In the fast-paced society we live in, we first need to realize that quick fixes in the short term do not have lasting effects. Therefore, we need to think further ahead, to what impacts society for the better.

Each and every one of us always wants to make a good society better. That is why people engage in political activities to achieve improvements and make an impact. Framsókn's policy is a radical centrist approach guided by logic and reason, rejecting extremes on either the right or the left.

To bring about changes, we must consider various ways without prematurely deciding for or against them. We need to realize that no single central solution necessarily applies to the entire society. Supporting this, I would mention the healthcare system. Primary healthcare needs to be strengthened as widely as possible so that the healthcare system as a whole becomes cheaper to operate in the long term.

This means that healthcare centers around the country need to be enhanced, strengthening each outstation, thus reducing visits to larger hospitals.

We must not be afraid to put forward new ideas. Every society depends entirely on balance. In many places in Iceland, living standards have been borrowed standards, transformed due to economic disasters. This issue must be addressed in such a way that history does not repeat itself, and this will be done by, among other things, abolishing indexation on consumer loans. There is no justification for borrowers to bear the consequences of inflated loans alone. Many Icelandic households are over-indebted. Against the debt, there should be an asset. During the crash, property values plummeted, and thus debts are higher than the assets themselves when loans ballooned.

The economic system we humans created collapsed, and we now see its consequences akin to natural disasters. This calls for a change in mindset.

Let's think further ahead, and let us not be afraid to put forward new ideas that demand changes in society for the better.
